Elliott Richardson » Strength and Conditioning Coach/Owner Acadia Performance Training Inc.

Elliott is a graduate of Acadia University and excelled on and off the field as a Free Safety for the Varsity Football team. Off the field he was an 2 time Academic All-Canadian as a graduate of Kinesiology. On the field he was a 2 time 2nd Team CIS All-Canadian, 3 time AUS All Star, AUS Rookie of the Year and Acadia Defensive Player of the Year and Team MVP and was a Team Captain for over 2 years. He credits Strength and Conditioning as the driving factor of his success on and off the field. This combined with his ability to outwork his opponents and peers allowed him the opportunity to make the team as an un-drafted free agent in the Canadian Football League with the Edmonton Eskimos and eventually starting 24 games over 2 years. He now fully dedicates his time and energy to improve his athletes athletic abilities and teach them the value of hard work and dedication.

Rachelle Aucoin » Strength and Conditioning Coach

Rachelle Aucoin is currently finishing her undergraduate kinesiology degree here at Acadia, completing the exercise science & training practicum. Her honours thesis is on mouth guard use for high performance athletes. Over the past year Rachelle has worked as a certified personal trainer, and has been a member of the Acadia Varsity women's soccer team the last 4 years. She is bilingual (English and French) and has career aspirations to work as a Strength and Conditioning Coach. 

Jacob Creedon » Strength and Conditioning Coach

Jacob is a 4th year kine student going into his 5th year of study. He has been playing football for the varsity team at Acadia since he started at the school. He was invited to the CFL regional combine in March of 2018. He is currently certified as a Canadian Society Exercise Physiology Personal Trainer (CSEP-CPT) while trying to achieve his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA-CSCS). After graduating from Acadia he plans on continuing to train athletes.

Cassidy Klein » Student Strength and Conditioning Coach

Cassidy Klein is a 3rd year Honours Kinesiology student from the Annapolis Valley. This is her third year coaching at APT, but she was an APT athlete for three years before coming to university. She is currently working towards becoming a certified personal trainer. Cassidy also works as a junior student therapist with the men’s football team. In her free time you can catch her doing biomechanics research in Acadia's mLAB, or in the gym training as an Olympic style weightlifter.

Elie Joseph Maroun » Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach

Acadia Alumni Elie J. Maroun graduated from the kinesiology program, became an exercise physiologist, and is now the lead performance coach for Acadia's varsity court sports. He manages, coordinates and coaches training sessions here at Acadia Performance Training.
