Elliott Richardson » Strength and Conditioning Coach/Owner Acadia Performance Training Inc.

Elliott is a graduate of Acadia University and excelled on and off the field as a Free Safety for the Varsity Football team. Off the field he was an 2 time Academic All-Canadian as a graduate of Kinesiology. On the field he was a 2 time 2nd Team CIS All-Canadian, 3 time AUS All Star, AUS Rookie of the Year and Acadia Defensive Player of the Year and Team MVP and was a Team Captain for over 2 years. He credits Strength and Conditioning as the driving factor of his success on and off the field. This combined with his ability to outwork his opponents and peers allowed him the opportunity to make the team as an un-drafted free agent in the Canadian Football League with the Edmonton Eskimos and eventually starting 24 games over 2 years. He now fully dedicates his time and energy to improve his athletes athletic abilities and teach them the value of hard work and dedication.

Josh Crouse » Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach

Josh is certified as an Exercise Physiologist through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology (CSEP-CEP) as well as a Certfied Strength and Conditioning Coach through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He graduated from the Kinesiology program at Acadia University where he spent 2+ years in the Strength and Conditioning Internship. Additionally, he was a Varsity athlete on the Men's Volleyball at UNB. 

Josh works with all athletes for Acadia Performance Training along with leading sessions for Rugby Nova Scotia, Football Nova Scotia, and the AXE Volleyball Club teams. Josh is primarily responsible for Acadia's court sports (basketball & volleyball) as well as the Swim team. 

 

Owen MacWilliams » Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach

Owen MacWilliams is a PEI native and has been a student athlete at St Fx, Holland College, Laurier, and Acadia. This is Owen's second year with APT, and he is now Lead Strength & Conditioning Coach alongside Josh Crouse. MacWilliams played mostly Rugby in his younger years, but played CIS football in all three universities he attended, and he was invited to a CFL Regional Combine after playing football at Holland College. Owen has his diploma in Kinesiology, and he is a NSCA-CPT certified personal trainer. MacWilliams is also a competitive powerlifter, and studies Kinesiology at Acadia University.

Rachelle Aucoin » Assistant Student Strength and Conditioning Coach

Rachelle is a bilingual (French & English) 3rd year student studying Kinesiology at Acadia. She is a 19 year old APT intern from Cheticamp in Cape Breton. Aucoin plans on continuing her education in exercise science, strength, and conditioning. Like many others in the APT family of coaches, Rachelle is also a CIS athlete, playing on the womens soccer team a Acadia!

Joy Chiekwe » Assistant Student Strength and Conditioning Coach

Joy is a 20 year old student in her 4th year of study of Kinesiology at Acadia University. Born and raised in Cole Harbour, NS, Joy came to Acadia as a student athlete; playing CIS women's basketball! She has been weight training for 5 years now, and is currently working with the Cardiac Rehabilitation Society. Chiekwe plans on pursuing a career in exercise physiology in the near future.

Cam Davidson » Assistant Student Strength and Conditioning Coach

Cameron Davidson is a 20 year old student athlete (football) from Kentville studying kinesiology. This Nova Scotia local is in his 4th year of study at Acadia and is also known as the 'Red Menace'. Cam's favorite day in the gym is White Boy Wednesdays.

Courtney Dill » Assistant Student Strength and Conditioning Coach

Courtney Dill was born and raised in a town called Souris in Prince Edward Island. She is in her 4th year of study at Acadia University, and she is studying Kinesiology. She is not only a student and intern, but she is also a competitive power lifter.

Cassidy Klein » Assistant Student Strength and Conditioning Coach

Cassidy Klein is a 19 year old Acadia student going into her second year of study in Kinesiology. She was born and raised in Coldbrook, Nova Scotia, and her favorite exercise is the clean and jerk. This is Klein's first internship with Acadia Performance Training, and she is a great addition to the coaching staff and the program.
